Covid-19 Emergency

As the coronavirus spreads across the globe, there is growing concern that Africa is likely to face a major outbreak – which would be a catastrophe in a continent already struggling to provide basic necessity to its people.

Living in the Gambia, and understanding the challenges we face as a nation, we knew we couldn’t take a back seat on this fight but to join our ministry of Health in this fight.

The target population of this project includes the following:

1. Covid-19 sensitization on public awareness campaign via our social media platforms, community out reach and door-to-door campaign
2. Telephone calls sensitization, we have been working with over 600 families and we have all their addresses and contact details to be able to call each household and have a positive dialogue with them that could help them understand more about safety precautions of covid-19
3. Providing food aid packages to the most vulnerable households
4. Supporting people with special needs communities that are often forgotten that they deserve a special care
5. Using our platforms/media to voice out the concern and struggles the less privileged are going through in their homes & communities.
